Have you tried Botox?
Botox is a toxin that causes botulism. Botulism is a serious illness that causes flaccid paralysis of muscles. It is caused by a neurotoxin, generically called botulinum toxin, produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Irrespective of it causing illness, scientists have found ways of using it to our advantage. Botox can be used to control the weakening of the muscle when some amount of it are injected into our body.
How Botox work?
Botox works by blocking signals from the nerves from getting to the muscles. Botox works as a shield between the brain and the muscle. When a diluted amount of Botox is injected in the muscle, the injected muscle no longer contract. The non-contraction of the muscle causes the wrinkles to relax and soften. Botox are mostly used on forehead lines, crow’s feet (lines around the eye) and frown lines.
The effects from Botox will last four to six months. As muscle action gradually returns, the lines and wrinkles begin to re-appear and wrinkles need to be re-treated. The lines and wrinkles often appear less severe with time because the muscles are being trained to relax.
